North Island Territory Sales Representative – Farmquip & The Rural Butcher Farmquip & The Rural Butcher are well‑established, New Zealand‑owned brands with a reputation for quality, innovation and genuine customer service. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a North Island Sales Representative to join our team and help drive the next phase of expansion across both our agricultural and hunting product ranges. About the Opportunity Working across the North Island, you will lead the development and management of customer relationships across a diverse client base within the agriculture, livestock and hunting sectors. This is a hands‑on, field‑based role focused on building long‑term farmer relationships, supporting rural retailers, and growing market share in a competitive environment. While Hawke’s Bay is our preferred location, we are open to discussing other North Island locations for the right candidate. You’ll enjoy being on the road, meeting customers, understanding their operations, and providing practical, technical solutions. Regular travel and overnight stays are an essential part of the role. What We’re Looking For Experience in agricultural sales or rural business development. Knowledge of animal handling systems or li vestock equipment (highly advantageous). Proven ability to work autonomously and manage a large geographical territory. Strong relationship‑building skills with the ability to uncover opportunities through genuine conversations. Commercially minded, customer‑focused, and confident discussing solutions with a wide range of stakeholders. Practical, proactive and self‑motivated, with strong organisational and time‑management skills. Comfortable with regular travel and developing long‑term customer partnerships. Strong communication skills with a consultative, relationship‑based approach to sales. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage relationships with existing customers across your territory. Identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities. Provide technical advice and product recommendations across both Farmquip and The Rural Butcher ranges. Work closely with customers to understand their projects, challenges and requirements. Maintain a disciplined call cycle and proactively manage your territory.
