We are seeking an experienced Digital Infrastructure Transformation Consultant to join our growing consulting team, based in Auckland or Christchurch. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior technology professional with a strong technical background, excellent consulting and stakeholder engagement skills, and the confidence to own customer outcomes from discovery through to delivery. As a trusted advisor, you will work with executive, operational and technical stakeholders to develop digital transformation strategies, design future-state technology solutions, and lead technology programmes that deliver measurable business outcomes. Across diverse industries throughout New Zealand, you will help clients modernise their digital infrastructure, improve operational performance, strengthen cyber resilience, and adopt emerging technologies. About the Role This role combines strategic consulting, enterprise technology expertise, sales and programme delivery. You will assess clients’ current digital infrastructure, identify opportunities for improvement, develop transformation roadmaps, and support the successful delivery of initiatives from concept through to operational handover. Working closely with consultants, architects, engineers, vendors, and client stakeholders, you will ensure technology investments align with business objectives and remain close to the customer throughout discovery, design, proposal, delivery sign-off, and operational handover, always ensuring the delivered outcome matches the promise. Key Responsibilities As a Digital Infrastructure Transformation Consultant, you will: Provide strategic advice on digital infrastructure, technology modernisation, and business transformation. Conduct current-state and digital maturity assessments, then develop future-state transformation strategies and practical roadmaps. Lead workshops and engage with executive stakeholders to understand business challenges and build support for transformation initiatives. Develop business cases, investment proposals, financial models, and Good / Better / Best solution options to support informed decision‑making. Design and oversee digital infrastructure solutions spanning enterprise networking, CCTV / surveillance and access control, structured cabling and fibre, operational technology (OT), cloud, cybersecurity, end‑user computing, enterprise systems, and data platforms. Coordinate multidisciplinary delivery teams and specialist engineers, ensuring alignment between technology, business processes, governance, customer expectations, and operational readiness. Measure programme performance using agreed KPIs and continuously improve delivery outcomes. Promote the transition of newly deployed infrastructure into monitored, managed, and supported environments using Build–Operate–Transfer methods, automation, monitoring, analytics, and AI‑enabled tools. Stay informed of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices so clients receive forward‑looking advice that remains practical and commercially sound. About You You are an experienced consulting professional who enjoys solving complex business and technology challenges. You have a collaborative approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders. You will suit this role if you are self‑driven, accountable and comfortable taking ownership. You can work through ambiguity, bring the right people into the conversation, and follow through until the outcome is delivered. You will bring: 10+ years’ experience in digital infrastructure, technology consulting, enterprise architecture, or transformation leadership. A proven track record owning or leading end‑to‑end digital transformation programmes. Strong consulting, stakeholder management, and presentation skills. Demonstrated experience developing business cases, investment proposals, financial models, and executive‑level recommendations. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving capability with a structured, commercial approach. The ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and practical way. A team‑first style, with a passion for innovation, continuous improvement and delivering measurable client outcomes. The flexibility to travel throughout New Zealand as required. A practical understanding of New Zealand Health and Safety requirements, particularly when working in customer, industrial, manufacturing, or site‑based environments. Technical Experience Experience across several of the following areas will be highly regarded, with networking, CCTV / surveillance, structured cabling, manufacturing, and OT experience especially valuable: Enterprise and converged networking (LAN, WAN, SD‑WAN and wireless) Camera surveillance analytics and integrated access control Industrial and facilities structured cabling and fibre infrastructure Operational Technology (OT), PLC and industrial automation Cloud and hybrid cloud platforms Cybersecurity and Zero Trust architecture Identity and access management Managed Digital Infrastructure Services End‑user computing and digital workplace technologies Data analytics, automation tools, monitoring, and AI‑enabled operations LoRa IoT solutions Enterprise systems and operational interfaces, including ERP‑adjacent technologies and human interface technologies Modern emergency management solutions deployed in retirement and care facilities Industry certifications in relevant technologies, along with qualifications in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, will be advantageous.
