This is a busy and varied role in a private Oral & Maxillofacial surgery centre, with a range of responsibilities supporting the surgical team with day-to-day administration duties. Well presented, friendly and approachable with excellent customer service skills - both in person and on the phone Computer literacy and proven proficiency with key Microsoft Office applications e.g. Word, Outlook, Excel etc The ability to work well under pressure with a "can do" attitude Familiarity with health systems and medical terminology would be advantageous Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team Ability to maintain focus and prioritise in a busy work environment whilst maintaining patient confidentiality Previous experience in surgical/dental assisting/nursing is highly desired but not essential Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: Reception duties - primary contact for incoming phone calls and practice emails Greeting surgical patients and processing payments Manage patient appointments, bookings, cancellations, and reminders using practice management software. Drafting, typing, and formatting letters and correspondence on behalf of the practitioner including referral letters, medical reports and follow up communications Handle billing, invoicing, and processing of Southern Cross/ private health insurance claims where applicable Adhere to all policies and procedures relating to patient confidentiality, safety, and practice operations. Coordinating both internal and external patient appointments and preparation of weekly Clinics (Monday - Friday) Data entry and updating of patient records Managing the front desk and practice administration duties including Some billing, accounts receivable, credit control, and accounts payable - Experience with Xero accounting programme advantageous Booking GA lists and liaising with St George's Hospital /patients/anaesthetists Maintenance of policy documents IT management Where this role varies: This role includes some photography, circulation in surgery and PA duties when required. This is a full-time role [approximately 40 hours per week] Monday - Friday between 7.30am - 6.30pm. Consideration will be given to candidates who are looking for full time hours and the ability to be flexible. Prior reception experience in a health-related field is necessary. #J-18808-Ljbffr
