Based in Rotorua Monday to Friday | Rotating Shifts: 7:00am - 3:30pm and 3:00pm - 11:30pm *MHPs also participate in a rotating on-call roster shared across both the Adult and Youth Services. Are you a passionate Mental Health Professional who wants to make a real difference for rangatahi? Join our Te Puāwaitanga Youth Support Service , supporting young people up to 18 years old through mental health respite and day programmes. This is a rewarding opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with hands‑on support, helping rangatahi navigate challenges, build resilience, and achieve positive outcomes. Working alongside a dedicated and supportive team, you'll provide recovery‑focused, strengths‑based care to young people with complex mental health needs. In this role, you will: Provide clinical expertise to ensure safe, effective, and person‑centred service delivery Assess and manage risk while maintaining high‑quality documentation and reporting Support rangatahi to develop daily living skills and participate in their communities Contribute to assessments, care planning, rehabilitation, and recovery outcomes Provide clinical guidance and support to Support Workers Respond confidently and effectively to complex and high‑risk situations Coordinate client journeys from entry through to exit, ensuring appropriate pathways and supports are in place You’ll be a compassionate, resilient, and adaptable professional who enjoys working alongside young people and helping them thrive. You’ll bring a calm and confident approach, strong clinical judgement, and a genuine commitment to recovery and wellbeing. To be successful, you’ll have: Registration with a professional body covered by the HPCA Act, Social Worker Registration Act, or DAPAANZ A current Annual Practising Certificate (APC) Experience working in youth, mental health, addiction, disability, or community-based services Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships with rangatahi, whānau, and colleagues Eligibility to work in New Zealand and a current full driver's licence Ability to participate in an on-call roster Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain this Salary: $68,037.77 - $102,000 per annum , depending on qualifications and experience.
