Tourism & Business Development Coordinator Moke Lake Horse Treks – Queenstown, South Island We are a premium horse trekking business operating in Queenstown and Glenorchy, seeking an expert in tourism management and business development with a strong equine background. This role will be instrumental in identifying new growth opportunities, attracting high-value clientele, and positioning the business as a leading premium equestrian tourism destination. By monitoring industry trends and fostering strategic relationships, you will help ensure the business remains innovative, competitive, and at the forefront of New Zealand's tourism market. Key responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with inbound tour operators, booking agents, travel wholesalers and local tourism partners Identify opportunities to expand distribution channels and increase bookings Assist in establishing new tourism products and experiences Research tourism trends and recommend strategies to increase market share Help identify target markets and develop strategies to attract ideal customers Review guest feedback and identify opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction Contribute ideas for new tourism products, packages and value-added experiences Apply equine knowledge to ensure marketing accurately reflects horse welfare, rider suitability and authentic horse experiences Assist in developing educational content around horses, riding and responsible tourism Conduct market research and competitor analysis About you A bachelor's degree (NZQCF Level 7 or equivalent) in Tourism Management OR 5 years relevant experience Experience in web development Extensive horse-riding experience, including previous experience working with horses Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect confidently with guests from a wide range of backgrounds Fluent spoken and written English essential Proficiency in additional languages is highly regarded Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines A background in the equine industry is an absolute must and applicants without equine experience will not be considered #J-18808-Ljbffr
