Triple RRR Limited – South Dunedin, South Island This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Motor Rewinder role based in Dunedin. The Electrical Motor Rewinder will disassemble, inspect, and diagnose electrical motors and related equipment, identifying faults such as winding failures, insulation damage, or mechanical wear. Day-to-day tasks include removing old windings, preparing stators and rotors, rewinding and insulating coils, and reassembling motors to manufacturer or customer specifications. The role involves using hand and power tools, testing equipment, and measuring devices to ensure motors meet performance and safety standards. Key responsibilities Disassemble, inspect, and diagnose electrical motors and related equipment Identify faults such as winding failures, insulation damage, or mechanical wear Remove old windings and prepare stators and rotors Rewind and insulate coils Reassemble motors to manufacturer or customer specifications Use hand and power tools, testing equipment, and measuring devices Ensure motors meet performance and safety standards About you Demonstrated understanding of electricity and electrical equipment relevant to motor repair and maintenance Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and electrical design as they apply to motor winding and diagnostics Prior experience in motor rewinding, electrical trade work, or a similar hands-on technical role Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and adherence to safety procedures and standards Capacity to work on-site in a workshop environment, manage physical tasks, and collaborate effectively in a teamwork About us Roscoes Rewinds and Repairs is a specialist provider of electrical motor repair and maintenance services, with a focus on reliability and quality workmanship.
