Afterschool and Holiday Programme Coaching Roles in the Auckland Area Coaching (sport, art, science, dance)Roles in Point Chevalier, Three Kings, Royal Oak and St Lukes. Hours of work will depend on the specific role. Times can vary between 5- 25 hours per week during the term time and 25to 40hours per week during school holiday periods (depending on your availability). Applicants must be able to work in a team environment, have good communication skills, be physically fit and, enjoy working with children. We do not sit and watch, we are not a baby sitting service. We deliver, engage and support the children in our programmes to learn new things, make new friends, and have amazing experiences. If you want to be successful in this role, you will need to live by those values while you are coaching at Kelly Club. Desired Experience Previous experience coaching sports to 5 - 10 year olds Previous experience in the planning and delivery of OSCAR programmes Previous experience working with children in structured programmes Delivering Sport or physical activity based programmes Employment Contract This position is subject to a part time/casual employment contract and pending a police check Desired Requirements A desire to deliver quality programmes for groups of children aged between 5 and 13 years Able to deliver activities with a loud voice A reasonable level of physical fitness Previous experience supervising children using behaviour management techniques A proven ability to think on the go Confidence to take control of difficult situations Position Duties Ensure all planned activities are for the enjoyment and safety of the children on the programmes Follow all Programme Policies and Procedures Note successful applicants will be required to have a police check.
