Transfer Station Operator/ Loader Driver & Kiosk Operator Casual Transfer Station Operator / Loader Driver & Kiosk Operator WasteCo is a leading New Zealand waste management and recycling company committed to providing sustainable environmental solutions. We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Casual Transfer Station Operator / Loader Driver & Kiosk Operator to join our Southland team in Te Anau. This is a varied hands-on role that combines customer service, site operations, loader operation, and kiosk duties. No two days are the same, making it a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and interacting with the public. About the Role In this position, you will be responsible for: Greeting customers and assisting them with waste disposal enquiries Directing customers to the appropriate disposal areas Operating a loader and transfer station equipment Managing compactor operations and monitoring bin capacity Maintaining green waste and scrap metal areas Completing daily paperwork and operational records Keeping the site clean, organised, and safe Providing general operational cover as required Following all Health & Safety policies and procedures What You'll Bring A positive and friendly attitude Strong customer service and communication skills Basic computer skills Good time management and problem-solving abilities Flexibility and willingness to assist across site operations Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment Preferred (but not essential) Previous experience in a similar operational, transfer station, or waste industry role Wheels endorsement and loader operating experience Why Join WasteCo?
