Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey. Search Recruitment – Richmond, South Island The Opportunity If you're after a finance role with real variety, a genuinely supportive team, and the flexibility of part-time hours, this is worth a serious look. NZ Hops is a high-performing, close-knit business with a culture that is hard-working, down-to-earth, and genuinely supportive – the kind of place where you're backed to learn, contribute, and grow into the role at your own pace. This isn't a role where you'll be stuck doing one thing on repeat. You'll get exposure across reconciliations, reporting, tax, audit support, and even a bit of debtor and payroll knowledge as backup – real breadth, in a team that actively cross-pollinates and helps each other out. The Company NZ Hops is based in Richmond, Tasman, and plays a key role supporting growers and customers across the hop and yeast supply chain. The finance team works closely with the CFO, Leadership Team, and Board, and prides itself on a hard-working but genuinely down-to-earth and supportive culture. The Role Reporting to the CFO, your responsibilities will include: Daily bank reconciliations and monthly general ledger reconciliations, journals and accruals Supporting preparation of monthly management reporting Assisting with monthly GST and annual FBT compliance Helping prepare external financial statements and supporting the business through the annual audit process Domestic invoicing and some overdue debtor follow-up, working closely with the wider finance team Maintaining accurate ERP data (Microsoft Business Central) Picking up working knowledge of payroll and AP as a handy backup, while colleagues manage the bulk of these day-to-day Getting involved wherever the team needs a hand - genuine variety, not a narrow lane Hours: 20-25 hours per week, with genuine flexibility on structure - five days suits well given the daily bank recs, but four days can work too. Your Profile You're a team player who genuinely enjoys supporting, mentoring, and helping others - someone with initiative, a sharp eye for detail, and a methodical, practical approach to problem-solving. You're comfortable working both in the detail and at a broader, strategic level, and you thrive in an environment of continual growth and change. You'll bring: Some form of accounting qualification, or strong on-the-job experience Exposure to Microsoft Business Central is an advantage, but not essential Strong Excel skills and confidence with accounting systems Organised, structured, and deadline-focused work habits A collaborative mindset - happy to pitch in wherever the team needs support Resilience and a practical, can-do approach to a genuinely varied workload #J-18808-Ljbffr
