Performance Mindset Coach - Central Stags Central Districts Cricket – Hastings, North Island The Performance Mindset Coach will provide on-site and remote performance mindset capabilities, drawing on social and personal psychological knowledge and skills to assist the Central Stags' Players, Coaching and Support Staff, and to provide performance mindset inputs to Central Districts Cricket's Provincial A and Pathway programmes. Key responsibilities Provide team support aligned with the CD Stags and Provincial A campaign plans Provide relevant workshops and education inputs as required Attend CD HP staff planning meetings as and when required Support multi-disciplinary integration across CD's HP environment Provide evidence-based performance mindset knowledge and strategies for players to promote performance and psychological well-being both on and off the field Provide on-site support to players to implement their performance mindset capabilities Support team leadership to ensure shared development, understanding, application and monitoring of the team's vision, values, standards and protocols Help create a positive team environment that challenges and motivates players to achieve their full potential Identify and triage players who might require mental health or crisis support and work with NZC's Lead Psychologist and the NZ Cricket Players' Association to action specialist referrals Implement and maintain CD Cricket's safe working practices and procedures within the Stags' team environment About you Be a Registered Psychologist with the New Zealand Psychologists' Board (with a General or specialised scope such as Clinical), or a Full Member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors, or an Accredited Mental Skills Trainer with Sport and Exercise Science New Zealand Hold a full New Zealand Driver's License Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand Have PMC experience working within a sports team setting, preferably within a high-performance sport environment Have a verifiable record of integrating and working effectively with colleagues, preferably with other performance-focused staff Have a proven record of PM input and support to athletes and coaches towards performance improvement Have a demonstrated commitment to learning and to adapting approaches in response to feedback and changing circumstances Have a proven record of collaborating with other professional colleagues and providers Have a 'can-do', team-focused approach with delight in helping others reach their potential About us Central Districts Cricket Association (CDCA) is one of six Major Associations within New Zealand. Our region is comprised of eight District Associations: Hawke's Bay, Horowhenua/Kapiti, Manawatu, Marlborough, Nelson, Taranaki, Wairarapa and Wanganui. CDCA is home to our representative men's Cricket Team, the Central Stags, and our representative women's team, the Central Hinds, and several age group representative teams. We achieve our purpose by providing vision, direction and guidance to our DAs who in turn deliver the game of cricket at all levels within their respective District boundaries.
