Lead the events that bring Southland together ILT Stadium Southland is more than a venue. It's where our community competes, celebrates, connects and comes together. We're looking for an experienced Event Manager to lead the attraction, planning and delivery of a diverse portfolio of events and programmes, from national and regional sporting fixtures, conferences and exhibitions to concerts, festivals, community events and major entertainment experiences. As a member of our Senior Management Team, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of one of Southland's most significant community assets. You'll build strong industry relationships, identify new opportunities, lead a talented team and help ensure our venue continues to thrive. About the Role This is a broad leadership role with a healthy mix of strategy and delivery. You'll be responsible for growing the venue's event portfolio, leading event delivery, managing key stakeholder relationships and ensuring every event achieves a high standard of customer experience, operational excellence and financial sustainability. You'll also lead the Events Team, including our Creative Coordinator, ensuring our events are effectively promoted and our audiences remain engaged and connected to what is happening at ILT Stadium Southland. No two days are the same. One day you may be securing a new event conference, the next overseeing a major event or working with your team to develop a marketing campaign that drives attendance and community engagement. About You You're an experienced event professional who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities and delivering outstanding experiences. You will bring: Proven experience delivering successful events within a venue, stadium, conference, entertainment or comparable environment Strong leadership skills and the ability to develop and motivate others Excellent stakeholder and relationship management capability Sound commercial judgement and experience managing budgets and financial outcomes Strong planning and organisational skills A customer-focused mindset and commitment to quality The ability to balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail Most importantly, you'll be someone who takes pride in creating events that have a positive impact on both the organisation and the wider community.
