Mossbrae Lifecare, in 48 Argyle Street,Mosgiel 9024 , part of the New Zealand Aged Care Services (NZACS) group, is looking for an enthusiastic Activity Coordinator / Diversional Therapist to join our team. About the role Plan, coordinate, and deliver an engaging activities programme that supports residents’ physical, social, emotional, cultural, and spiritual wellbeing. Get to know residents’ interests, life stories, abilities, and preferences, and tailor activities to suit individual and group needs. Encourage participation in meaningful activities, outings, celebrations, and community connections. Work collaboratively with care, nursing, and support staff to promote resident wellbeing and social connection. Maintain accurate activity records, assessments, and care plan contributions. Support a warm, inclusive environment where residents feel valued, involved, and respected. About you A warm, creative, and compassionate approach, with genuine enjoyment of working with older people. Diversional Therapy qualification or relevant experience in activities, recreation, aged care, disability, or community support is an advantage. Strong communication and organisation skills, with confidence leading group and one-to-one activities. Creative ideas, flexibility, and the ability to adapt activities to different abilities and needs. Full legal right to work in New Zealand.
