Culinary Expertise Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes, focusing on local and seasonal ingredients. Develop and refine recipes to ensure consistency and quality in food presentation. Implement creative plating techniques to enhance the visual appeal of dishes. Monitor food preparation processes to adhere to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service delivery. Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring adherence to hygiene and safety standards. Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to maintain stock. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety. Conduct regular quality checks on food items to maintain high standards. Assist in menu planning and pricing strategies to maximize profitability. Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and fryers. Knowledge of food safety certifications, including HACCP and Food Handling. Experience with inventory management systems for tracking supplies. Proficient in using kitchen management software for scheduling and ordering. Ability to utilize culinary tools such as knives, mandolins, and food processors. Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Communicate effectively with team members to foster a positive work environment. Participate in team meetings to discuss menu changes and operational improvements. Engage with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients and negotiate prices. Provide feedback and suggestions to management for enhancing kitchen operations. Compensation The hourly pay for this position ranges from $22 to $25, commensurate with experience and skills. We are currently looking for team members to join our busy Pizza Store located in Rotorua, Bay of Plenty. You must have passion towards food and ability to thrive under pressure. Location: Rotorua, Bay of Plenty Number of position for this job: 03 Employment Type: Permanent Full Time Minimum guaranteed hours of work per week: 30 Hours Days required: Monday to Sunday (rotating hours) Pay Rate: $24 - $ 25 per hour Your duties will include but not limited to: - Preparing the Pizzas from the menu and as per customer special requirements - Preparing the variety of dough for pizzas (stretching, saucing and cheesing) and garlic breads as per Pizza Hut’s recipe and standards - Washing, preparing and cutting the topping vegetables and variety of meat - Making fresh pizza sauces and storing them at the right temperature - Operating and Controlling the temperatures of the cooking equipment, ovens and grills - Follow the instructions and prepare the food as per the dietary requirements - To assist in ordering the inventory and maintaining the stock levels - Taking deliveries of the stock ordered - Taking orders, serving the customer and receiving the payments from customers - Ensuring the customer orders are completed in timely manner - Keeping the work areas and utensils always clean, hygienic and tidy - Ensuring the compliance meet with all health and safety regulations - Delivery of Pizza as and when required A successful candidate must have: - At least Level 1 qualification (High School) - Above 18 years of age - Full Driving Licence - Time management skills and ability to work under pressure - Physically fit and hard working - Late evenings, Weekend and Public Holiday availability - Punctual, reliable and honest - No Criminal conviction - Must pass the drug test #J-18808-Ljbffr
