Phoenix Healthcare Group is looking for an experienced HR Business Support / Recruitment Coordinator to join our People & Culture team based at our Christchurch Head Office. This is a hands on role supporting recruitment, onboarding, and general HR coordination across Phoenix Healthcare Group. The role have a primary focus on supporting recruitment within our Home & Community division, where the majority of hiring is for support worker roles. This is a fast-paced environment that requires strong organisation, responsiveness, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. The Home & Community division operates in a high-volume recruitment environment, where responsiveness and organisation are essential to ensure we can support clients and services across the region. You will also play an active role in the implementation of our new recruitment and applicant tracking system, supporting a smooth and successful transition and helping embed the new system and processes across the organisation. You’ll maintain accurate recruitment data and reporting, providing meaningful insights into vacancy activity, candidate pipelines, time-to-hire and recruitment trends to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement. While recruitment coordination will be a key focus, you will also be exposed to a variety of HR and operational tasks across the People & Culture team. This provides an excellent opportunity to grow your knowledge of HR processes and gain practical experience across multiple areas of the employee lifecycle. You will be working closely with the HR team based in Christchurch Head Office, gaining exposure to how a national healthcare workforce is supported. Over time, there is opportunity to develop broader HR generalist skills as your confidence and capability grow. You’ll be supported to learn and develop across the employee lifecycle, including: Supporting recruitment for our Home & Community division, primarily hiring support workers Screening applications Coordinating interviews Communicating with candidates throughout the recruitment process Assisting with recruitment activity in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Onboarding & Induction Assisting with orientation preparation Supporting new starters to feel welcomed and prepared Helping coordinate onboarding documentation and induction processes Training Coordination Assisting with booking training sessions Coordinating with our Clinical Lead regarding required training HR Administration & Coordination assistance Assisting with HR documentation and coordination tasks Helping maintain accurate Recruitment data, employee records and HR systems No two days are the same — this role suits someone who enjoys variety, working at pace, and learning on the job while building their HR knowledge.
