They're looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to become a key part of their commercial team. This isn't just another QS role. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, have the opportunity to influence commercial processes, mentor others within the business and play a significant role in the successful delivery of projects from procurement through to final account. The role Reporting into senior leadership, you’ll be responsible for the commercial management of multiple projects from pre-construction through to completion. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing accurate cost plans and estimates Procurement and subcontractor management Tender analysis and contract negotiations Managing variations, claims and final accounts Cost reporting, forecasting and cashflow management Identifying commercial risks and opportunities Improving systems and commercial processes Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors About you You’ll already be operating at Senior QS level and enjoy taking ownership of projects. You’ll ideally bring: 7+ years’ Quantity Surveying experience within commercial construction Strong knowledge of NZ construction contracts Excellent commercial acumen Confidence managing multiple projects simultaneously Outstanding negotiation and communication skills A proactive, solutions-focused approach The ability to build lasting relationships across clients and project teams Most importantly, you’ll be someone who enjoys being part of a collaborative business where your ideas are valued.
