We're looking for talented and curious students to join our Aotearoa Internship Programme and gain hands‑on experience working alongside industry experts on some of New Zealand's most exciting projects. We are seeking penultimate‑year students studying: Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Software Engineering and Data Science Our internships run over the summer period from November 2026 through to February 2027, providing you with valuable consulting experience and a pathway into our graduate programme. Our intern programme is designed for students in their penultimate year, helping create opportunities for future graduate employment. What you'll do As an intern, you'll become part of a team from day one and contribute to real projects that make a difference. You’ll have the opportunity to: Work alongside experienced engineers, consultants and project teams Support the delivery of major infrastructure and development projects Develop your technical and professional skills Gain insight into life as a consultant Collaborate with colleagues from across New Zealand and the wider Asia Pacific region Build your professional network through mentoring and buddy programmes Participate in structured learning and development activities designed specifically for interns Why join Mott MacDonald?
