HR Business Partner 6 month fixed term contract Tauranga Opportunity for an experienced intermediate/senior HRBP for a large public organisation in Tauranga. We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded HR Business Partner for an experienced People & Culture team. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive HR professional who thrives on building strong relationships, influencing leaders, and driving people initiatives that support business performance. You will partner with leaders across the business to provide strategic and operational HR support, helping to create an engaged, high-performing, and inclusive workplace. About the Role As an HR Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to managers and leaders, supporting the full employee lifecycle and delivering people solutions that align with business objectives. Key responsibilities include: Partnering with leaders to develop and implement people strategies that support organisational goals. Providing expert guidance on employee relations, performance management, disciplinary matters, and workplace investigations. Coaching and supporting managers to build leadership capability and drive employee engagement. Leading workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, and organisational change initiatives. Supporting recruitment and onboarding activities for key roles. Analysing people metrics and trends to inform decision-making and improve business outcomes. Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and HR best practices. Contributing to People & Culture projects and continuous improvement initiatives. About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: Proven experience as an HR Business Partner Strong knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation and HR best practice. Demonstrated experience managing complex employee relations matters. Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills. Strong communication, coaching, and influencing abilities. Commercial acumen and the ability to align people strategies with business objectives. Experience supporting organisational change and driving employee engagement initiatives.
