About the Role As a Registered Nurse Cardiac Cath Lab, you will utilise professional knowledge and skill to provide a holistic approach to nursing care that is safe, of the highest quality possible and in accordance with: Te Whatu Ora policies Registered Nurse Scope of Practice Nursing Practice Standards Nursing Council of NZ Registered Nurse competencies Nursing Council code of conduct You will ensure provision of nursing care is in consultation and partnership with the patient/client/family/ whanau, where the rights and needs of all people are acknowledged within the context of the Treaty of Waitangi. As Registered Nurse, you will also maintain and enhance the professional standards of nursing and contribute to further development of nursing within the service. About the Team/Service/Location Our Cardiac Cath Lab is a three-day-a-week, elective-focused service with no STEMI call requirements, offering a calm and well-structured environment centred on planned diagnostic and interventional procedures. This fixed-term, no fixed hours role provides flexibility while still offering valuable opportunities to develop and consolidate cardiology and procedural nursing skills. Working alongside a small, supportive team, you will contribute to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care with a strong emphasis on safety, collaboration, and continuity of care. This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse with an interest in cardiology who enjoys working in a specialised environment and values a positive team culture. For more information on living and working in Northland, click here About you As a Registered Nurse, you will have a demonstrated interest in Cardiology and Cardiac nursing and an ability to work within a multidisciplinary team. Registered Nurse with a current Practicing Certificate IV Designation The ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team Good communication skills with a focus on listening Effective time management and good organizational skills Recent (within two years) experience working in a Cardiac Cath Lab Acute cardiology and or critical care experience Working at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
