Learning Assistant Mt Carmel School, Meadowbank Mt Carmel School is a Catholic Integrated School located in Meadowbank. About the role We are seeking a caring and dedicated learning assistant to provide 1:1 and group support for students with additional needs. You will work closely with teachers, SENCO and our learning support team to support students across a range of needs. Key responsibilities Helping students access the curriculum Assisting with the delivery of learning programmes and activities Prepare and organise learning aids, equipment, and materials Build relationships with students to support positive learner outcomes About you A genuine passion for working with children, particularly those with additional or special needs You relate well to a diverse range of young people Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Able to work both independently and as part of a team Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing student needs and classroom requirements Experience working with young people is an advantage, but not essential NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa required This position is part time, Term time only.
