This is for a 12 month fixed term contract. What You'll Be Doing As the Senior Financial Reporting Advisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring the new reporting framework is practical, robust and ready for implementation. Testing and refining financial reporting models and supporting documentation. Interpreting NZ GAAP and applying accounting standards in practical environments. Developing guidance, templates and tools that simplify complex accounting concepts. Identifying risks, gaps and opportunities to strengthen the reporting framework. Providing specialist advice that helps deliver successful project outcomes. About You You’ll be an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working through complexity and turning technical concepts into practical solutions. You’ll bring: Strong knowledge of NZ GAAP and financial reporting standards. Experience applying accounting frameworks in practice. Exposure to finance transformation, reporting redesign or complex change programmes. Experience developing or testing financial reporting models, frameworks or guidance. Advanced Excel skills (Power BI would be advantageous). The ability to communicate complex technical concepts in plain English. Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the confidence to challenge thinking constructively. A CA, CPA or equivalent accounting qualification is preferred, although practical experience applying financial reporting standards is what matters most. One that uncovers and celebrates your strengths. If traditional hiring processes don’t bring out your best let us know. We want you to shine, not shy away.
