BOILER / STEAM PLANT OPERATORS - QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA Earn potential up to NZ$170k per annum incl Superannuation (based on qualifications held) Relocate to coastal Queensland! You must be living in New Zealand; our client will be conducting face to face interviews in Auckland (September) Flights + 3 months accommodation + relocation offered to successful applicants. Open to New Zealand Citizens only Located at the southern gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, this role in a large, successful refinery is an awesome opportunity to get ahead! Our client is seeking experienced Boiler / Steam Plant Operators to operate and monitor complex boilerhouse and steam generation equipment, ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the plant. THE ROLE Your day-to-day will include operating and monitoring boilers, steam generators, turbines and associated auxiliary plant to ensure safe and efficient performance. You will also be responsible for: Conducting regular field checks and plant inspections Monitoring boiler and steam plant performance Taking boiler water and other process samples Identifying and responding to operational issues and plant abnormalities Carrying out equipment isolations across multiple energy sources Working with plant involving water, air, gas, coal, diesel, oil, electricity and steam Supporting plant commissioning, shutdowns and start-ups Carrying out operational and preventative maintenance activities Working closely with maintenance teams to maintain plant reliability Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and promoting best practice across the team ABOUT YOU Must be a New Zealand citizen and eligible to relocate to Australia Previous experience operating industrial boilers, steam generation equipment or complex process plant is essential Hold relevant New Zealand boiler operating certification and demonstrated experience operating industrial boilers. Strong understanding of industrial plant operations and safe operating procedures Experience working in environments where Health and Safety is paramount Be comfortable working in hot industrial environments and around high-temperature plant and equipment Experience conducting field inspections and operational checks Experience with equipment isolations / LOTO and working with multiple energy sources Experience with boiler water or process sampling is highly regarded Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills, with the ability to respond effectively to operational issues Experience operating or monitoring steam turbines and associated auxiliary plant is advantageous Experience working within industrial environments such as refineries, power generation, dairy, pulp and paper, chemical processing, manufacturing, mills or other heavy industrial facilities Demonstrated ability to safely work as an individual and within a team environment A positive, motivated and safety-focused attitude A current Forklift Licence and/or EWP ticket is advantageous but not essential BENEFITS Company superannuation.
