We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Mental Health Professional of Allied Health to join our dynamic and supportive Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service(CAMHS) as we continue to grow and innovate to better meet the needs of our community. About the Role Wellington CAMHS is seeking a Registered Mental Health Professional (Social Worker,Psychotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, or Family therapist). You'll become part of a passionate multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality assessment and intervention services for infants, children, adolescents, and their whānau experiencing moderate to severe mental health challenges. About the Team/Service/Location Wellington CAMHS is a community based team, close to the hospital, that provides specialist assessment and treatment for 0-18 year olds and their families/whānau. We have a diverse population in the heart of Wellington. About you The successful applicant will be: A RegisteredMental Health Clinician ( SocialWorker, Psychotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, or Familytherapist ). Have 2+ years mental health experience, preferably in child adolescent mental health or is keen to develop expertise in CAMHS. Skilled in assessments, risk evaluation, and crisis response Ability to provide high quality mental health assessments and therapeutic interventions. Experience in working with a range of clinical presentations including trauma, neurodiversity, challenging family systems. Passionate, motivated, and innovative A strong team player with excellent communication skills Experienced in or interested in learning practice in areas such as group work, family therapy, trauma-informed therapies, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), ACT, play therapy, EMDR - all would be highly valued. Have the ability to work autonomously and also as an integral part of a dedicated, innovative and friendly multi-disciplinary team. Able to work collaboratively and supportively with other team members to ensure provision of appropriate assessment and treatment. Experienced working in a bi-cultural and multi-cultural practice and be community focused.
