Administration Assistant – Business Development Support We are looking for a highly organised and proactive part-time Administration & Business Support Coordinator to assist our Managing Director with follow‑up work, supplier communication, market research and new business administration. This role has been created to provide administrative and project support to the Managing Director. The successful person will assist with supplier follow‑up, product opportunity research, data analysis and general business development administration. Hours of Work This is a part‑time, fully office‑based role requiring 25 to 27.5 hours per week. Ideally, the hours will be worked across Monday to Friday; however, there may be flexibility around the exact working pattern for the right person. Please note this is an in‑office position to ensure seamless administrative support to our Managing Director. Remote work or working from home is not standard practice and is only considered on occasions (such as if you are unwell but still well enough to work remotely to protect the office environment). About the Role The role will suit someone who enjoys variety, is confident working independently and can take ownership of administrative and follow‑up tasks that support new business development. You will work closely with the Managing Director and other team members to help keep information organised, follow up on opportunities and make sure tasks are completed in a timely and professional manner. Key Responsibilities Assist the Managing Director with business development administration and company projects. Analyse market data and prepare useful summaries to support decision‑making. Review overseas supplier product ranges against local sales data, including sources such as IQVIA. Liaise with existing and potential overseas suppliers regarding new business opportunities, in collaboration with the Managing Director. Follow up with suppliers as directed by the Managing Director following trade fairs, meetings and business discussions. Assist with email follow‑up, correspondence and communication with suppliers or customers on behalf of the Managing Director when required. Organise, maintain and manage electronic files, supplier information and product data. Take ownership of tasks or small projects, working alongside the Managing Director and other staff. Provide general administrative support and assist where required. Skills and Experience Required Advanced or highly confident Microsoft Excel skills (ability to rate yourself at an Intermediate to Advanced level in data manipulation). Confidence working with data analysis, product records, pricing, and electronic catalogues. Experience supporting a manager or team with administrative, follow‑up, and project tasks. Strong administration, organisation and follow‑through skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to liaise professionally with suppliers, customers and internal team members. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and keep information well organised. A proactive, practical approach and willingness to help where needed. Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry in a business support, product administration, supplier liaison, or project administration role would be advantageous. About You You will be someone who enjoys keeping things organised and making sure tasks are followed through. You will be comfortable working with detail, following up with people and helping to keep business development opportunities moving.
