Yard Person / Class 2 Driver

Hours: Monday to Friday (40 hours per week) Rural Direct Ltd is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Yard Person / Class 2 Driver to join our busy Papakura team. This is a varied, hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing and yard environment. The position involves forklift operation, loading and unloading trucks, organising stock and completing local deliveries throughout the Auckland region. You will be responsible for handling products safely and efficiently, maintaining an organised yard, completing deliveries professionally and accurately recording goods coming in and out. Key Responsibilities Safely loading and unloading trucks and containers Operating forklifts within the yard and factory Completing local deliveries using a Class 2 vehicle Ensuring products are safely secured during transport Picking, stacking and storing stock accurately Maintaining a clean and organised yard Checking goods against orders before dispatch Completing delivery documentation and obtaining customer signatures Following all health and safety procedures Carrying out daily forklift and vehicle checks Assisting with general yard and factory duties when required What We’re Looking For Current New Zealand Class 2 driver licence Minimum two years forklift driving experience Previous truck-driving or delivery experience preferred A safe and confident driving record Must have legal right to work in New Zealand Physically fit and able to lift up to 25kg Strong health and safety awareness Reliable, punctual and able to work independently Good communication and organisational skills A professional and helpful attitude when dealing with customers Ability to accurately complete delivery and stock documentation What We Offer Varied role across yard work, forklift operation and local deliveries Supportive team environment Opportunity to grow within a New Zealand-owned company Competitive hourly rate based on experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
