Assistant Production Supervisor - Food Manufacturing Our client is seeking an Assistant Production Supervisor to join their busy food manufacturing operations team in Wiri, Auckland. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting the efficient and safe operation of their production facility. As Assistant Production Supervisor, you will work closely with the production team to ensure that production targets are met, quality standards are maintained, and all health and safety regulations are adhered to. This position is fundamental to the smooth running ofthe busy manufacturing operations and offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their supervisory and leadership capabilities within the food manufacturing sector. Working hours: 6am to 4/5pm, Monday to Friday. Key responsibilities Supervising and coordinating production floor activities to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of production schedules Monitoring product quality throughout the manufacturing process and ensuring compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements Conducting regular safety briefings and inductions for production staff, promoting a strong health and safety culture Identifying and addressing operational issues promptly, implementing corrective actions when necessary Maintaining accurate production records, logs, and documentation as required by company and regulatory standards Supporting the training and development of production team members, providing guidance and performance feedback Liaising between production staff and senior management to communicate priorities, concerns, and performance metrics Assisting with equipment maintenance scheduling and supporting troubleshooting of production problems Ensuring compliance with all environmental, health, and safety legislation applicable to food manufacturing Supporting inventory management and raw material handling procedures What we're looking for Proven supervisory or team leader experience, ideally within a manufacturing, production, or food manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in food manufacturing Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse team members effectively Demonstrable organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify issues and implement practical solutions Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality and safety standards A proactive approach to continuous improvement and operational excellence What's on offer Our client is part of an interantional large organisation.
