The Nurse Maude Hospice Palliative Care Service provides specialised care and support for patients who have a life limiting illness using a multidisciplinary approach. Care is centred on the needs of patients and their families/whanau and embraces the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual elements of wellbeing - tinana, whanau, hinengaro and wairua - and aims to enhance quality of life. He momo/About you At Nurse Maude we value our Enrolled Nurse team and provide an excellent opportunity to practice at your full potential. The successful applicant will be an Enrolled Nurse with at least 5 years post enrolment experience to work within the team at Nurse Maude Hospice inpatient unit. The Hospice has 11 beds and cares for patients of all ages with a wide range of illness and disease, providing complex symptom management and end of life care. This role involves rostered shift work so you must be available for morning, afternoon, and night shifts. You will have excellent knowledge of palliative care and will be working alongside our multi-disciplinary team. Key to this role is supporting patients to meet their goals by providing excellent Palliative Care in the IPU. The successful candidate will have excellent assessment skills and be able to review patients with complex needs alongside the ability to build networks and excellent relationships with key stakeholders. The role will be well supported by the Specialist Palliative Care team.
