Job Description
Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey. Sales & Acquisitions Consultant – Auckland (Central & Inner Suburbs) Mareth Developments – Auckland, North Island Help us create — and sell — better homes. We’re a boutique Auckland property developer doing things a little differently. We create cool, current homes with thoughtful details, smart layouts and more personality than your typical new build. Our goal isn’t to be the biggest developer in Auckland — it’s to build some of the best homes to actually live in. We’re growing, and we’re looking for a Sales & Acquisitions Consultant to join our small, hands-on team. This isn’t a traditional property sales role where you’re simply handed listings and expected to sell them. You’ll be close to the whole development process — talking to buyers, researching the market, feeding into designs and pricing, helping create sales campaigns and identifying potential future development sites. If you love property, people and getting deals done, there’s a lot of opportunity here. What you’ll be doing Selling homes Sell our homes off-the-plan, during construction and once completed. Follow up enquiries generated through our marketing campaigns. Get to know every project inside out — layouts, specifications, location, pricing and points of difference. Build genuine relationships with first-home buyers, investors and owner-occupiers. Negotiate offers and sales prices. Guide buyers confidently through what can sometimes be a pretty daunting purchase. Keep purchasers informed with clear project and construction updates. Flexibly accommodate private buyer viewings when required. Run our open homes as needed on weekends — approximately two hours on Saturday and two hours on Sunday. Understanding the market Visit competing open homes and developments across Auckland. Understand exactly what else buyers are considering. Research pricing, layouts, specifications and buyer behaviour. Provide clear recommendations on where our homes should be positioned and priced. Helping us build better homes Be the voice of the buyer during the design process. Feed real customer insights back to our development and design team. Help us understand what buyers love, what they don’t, and what they’d pay more for. Work with designers and creative tools to help develop brochures, sales collateral and property marketing. Finding what’s next Help identify potential development sites. Build relationships with agents and landowners. Assist with evaluating acquisition opportunities and lead our front-end land acquisition activity. Who we’re looking for You don’t necessarily need to come from property. We’re more interested in someone who is commercially sharp, naturally good with people and genuinely enjoys selling. You’ll ideally have: Proven sales experience and a track record of getting deals across the line. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Warmth, confidence and plenty of energy. Strong commercial instincts and the ability to understand pricing and buyer behaviour. An interest in property, architecture, interiors or development. The confidence to give your opinion rather than simply follow a script. Strong follow-up habits and attention to detail. Comfort using technology, CRM systems and modern creative tools. Availability to work short periods on most Saturdays and Sundays. A full NZ driver’s licence and your own vehicle. Most importantly, you’ll care about the customer. For many of our buyers, this is the biggest purchase they’ve ever made. We want someone who can sell confidently without making people feel like they’re being sold to. What you’ll get Base salary + commission, with OTE of $125,000-$150,000. Direct exposure to the entire property development process. Genuine influence over the homes we design and build. The opportunity to grow into a significant role as the business grows. A modern office in Penrose. A small team where good ideas can actually turn into action. Direct access to the Director rather than layers of management. Plenty of variety — this definitely isn’t a desk-bound sales job. About us We’re a boutique Auckland property developer focused on creating great homes for a new generation of homeowners. We believe first-home buyers shouldn’t have to settle for bland, cookie-cutter housing simply because they’re buying their first home. So we listen to how people actually want to live, obsess over the little details and find ways to give buyers more choice. If you’re driven, people-focused and want a role where you can have a genuine impact on both the customer and the product, we’d love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
