We are seeking to appoint an experienced peoplemanager to lead our Picton branch who can build on the existing operation andembrace this position of responsibility with enthusiasm, energy and vision. Reporting to the Regional Manager – ForestryServices, primary responsibilities will focus on managing all aspects of our Log Marshalling and Stevedoring operations as well as a Debarker. This position offers opportunities to deliver further improvements in customer service, resource allocation, efficiency and productivity. To succeed in this position the preferred candidate will possess proactive leadership abilities to lead a team to perform to best practice, be self-motivated as well as motivating and developing others with a continuous improvement focus. To be considered for this position you will require: Proven leadership experience, ideally in a Port environment Experience at optimizing efficiency of labour and plant The skills and experience to lead a 50+ strong team A keen understanding of the critical nature of Health & Safety in any operating environment and the proven ability to translate that into action on the ground Effective relationship management with customers and staff Well-rounded business management skills enabling you to take hold of operations, the P&L, H&S, Customer service, HR and business development Experience in building and developing high-performing team cultures in complex labour environments A high level of personal initiative, motivation and resilience As part of C3’s commitment to health & safety the successful applicant will undergo a pre-employment medical and drug screen.
