We’re looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join our Avondale-based team. About the Role As a Manufacturing Technician at Phytomed, you’ll play a key role in manufacturing our range of premium medicinal herb products. You’ll be responsible for operating and maintaining various production equipment, ensuring products are processed to a high standard in a clean, GMP-compliant environment. This is a hands-on, full-time position reporting to the Production Manager and based at our Avondale facility in Auckland. What You’ll Be Doing Operating and monitoring production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting equipment to minimize downtime Following production recipes and SOPs accurately to ensure product consistency Conducting in-process quality checks and identifying any issues early Maintaining detailed production records and batch documentation Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the production team Complying with all health, safety, and environmental regulations What We’re Looking For Previous experience in a GMP manufacturing, production, or technical environment (preferred) Mechanical aptitude and practical skills for working with equipment High attention to detail and commitment to product quality and workplace safety Good communication and problem-solving skills Team player with a flexible attitude and willingness to learn new processes Physically fit and able to follow procedures accurately What We Offer A friendly and inclusive team culture Stable, long-term employment with a New Zealand-owned company Full on-the-job training and support for skill development Opportunities for growth within the business A clean, tidy, and safety-focused workplace About Us Phytomed Medicinal Herbs Ltd is a trusted New Zealand manufacturer of herbal medicines and natural healthcare products.
