Permanent part-time position working 24 hours per week, Monday to Friday Salary range of $88k to $102k, depending on experience External supervision, professional development and additional wellbeing benefits About the Role Provide assessment, treatment and outreach support for adults experiencing substance use and co-existing mental health challenges. Work within a community-based service, and partner closely with Peer Support Specialists to deliver culturally responsive, recovery-focused care. Support is provided in settings where clients feel comfortable, including their homes and other community locations. Key Responsibilities Complete comprehensive alcohol and other drug assessments Develop treatment and recovery plans in partnership with clients Deliver evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Motivational Interviewing Facilitate individual and group therapeutic sessions Work alongside Peer Support Specialists as part of an integrated care model Complete clinical documentation, risk assessments and safety plans Coordinate support with whānau, GPs, community providers and AOD services Mentor clinicians and contribute to the ongoing development of the service What's on Offer Permanent part-time hours, working 24 hours per week from Monday to Friday Additional wellbeing leave days, study leave and long service leave. You will also bring: Current registration relevant to your professional discipline with the Drug and Alcohol Practitioners' Association Aotearoa New Zealand (DAPAANZ), New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC), or Social Workers Registration Board (SWRB) A current Annual Practising Certificate or practising certificate where required by your governing body At least two years' post-qualification experience in AOD or mental health services Experience supporting people with substance use disorders and co-existing mental health needs Practical knowledge of evidence-based AOD interventions, including CBT and Motivational Interviewing Previous mentoring, supervision or clinician development experience Strong communication, engagement and clinical documentation skills A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally safe practice Current First Aid and CPR certification, or the ability to obtain it A full, clean New Zealand driver licence Reference #: 220045 Reference number: 220045 Profession:Healthcare & MedicalPsychology, Counselling & Social Work Company: Frontline Health Auckland & Upper North Island Date posted: 18th Aug, 2026 #J-18808-Ljbffr
