About the role Finding Voices is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary team of speech and occupational therapists, mentors, and literacy support specialists. This is a flexible role (part or full time) offering the opportunity to provide support to our clients and their families. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, holistic, client-led occupational therapy services. Our main clinic is in Rosedale, however you may support families in our various clinics and their homes and pre/schools around Auckland. Key responsibilities Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify clients' strengths, and areas for support Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans to help clients achieve their goals Providing one-on-one and group therapy sessions to clients of all ages Working alongside our Speech Language Therapists, Literacy Tutors and Mentors to ensure cohesive services are provided to families Maintaining client records and preparing reports as required Contributing to the continuous improvement of therapy services and clinical practices Continuously developing your skills and knowledge to provide the best possible supports About you A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand At least one year of experience as an Occupational Therapist, working with children Someone who is currently located in New Zealand, or has the rights to work in New Zealand without sponsorship Strong clinical skills, including the ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and develop effective treatment plans Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals A passion for helping others and a commitment to providing person-centred care Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice An understanding that play is a power therapeutic tool Ideally, this is a contractors position, however part and full time employment would be considered for the right candidate.
