Are you a passionate Speech and Language Therapist looking for a role where oyu can truly change lives? You will support incredible students aged 5 to 21 years as they learn, grow, and thrive. Our learners bring with them a wide range of strengths and needs, including, but not limited to: Autism Spectrum Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, Cerebral Palsy, Intellectual Disability, ADHD, Speech and Language Delay, and Down Syndrome. No two days are ever the same - and that's what makes it so rewarding! Key responsibilities Provide individual and group therapy to students aged 5-21 years with diverse learning needs. Support students with communication, speech, and language development in fun and meaningful ways. Participate in ongoing professional learning and contribute to a culture of collaboration. Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team of occupational therapists, speech language therapists, psychologists, physiotherapists, teaching staff and support staff. Deliver therapy at our base school in Pukekohe and across satellite sites in the Franklin area. Contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and help set meaningful, achievable goals. Provide guidance and strategies to teachers, teacher aides, and whānau to support communication in everyday life. Ensure your practice is culturally responsive, aligning with Te Tiriti o Waitangi. About you Registered with the New Zealand Speech Language Therapists' Association (NZSTA) with a current Annual Practising Certificate Sound knowledge in the use of high and low tech AAC devices CAT level 1 would be an advantage A team player with excellent communication skills Culturally responsive and committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi Driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle About us Parkside Specialist School is located in Pukekohe and the Franklin area.
