PTL Structural & Fire – Queenstown, South Island PTL are looking for a senior structural engineer to join their dynamic team of structural engineers and fire engineers. The role will be based in Queenstown as a satellite to their Christchurch and Auckland offices. The successful candidate will initially be PTL's only Queenstown based engineer, supporting a strong portfolio of active Queenstown projects. Working closely with our Christchurch and Auckland offices, the role offers the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of PTL's Queenstown presence, with a view to build and mentor a small local team of structural and fire engineers. Key responsibilities Lead the design and monitoring of construction projects Support a strong portfolio of active Queenstown projects Work closely with Christchurch and Auckland offices Build and mentor a small local team of structural and fire engineers Contribute to the continued growth of PTL's Queenstown presence About you Internationally recognised tertiary degree in structural engineering At least 5 years' NZ based experience Chartered structural engineer or on track to gain chartership Strong track record of leading the design and monitoring of construction projects Love of learning and sharing knowledge Focused on people and relationships Passionate about the opportunity to grow others, motivated by a leadership role Ability to own the delivery of high quality client outcomes Opportunity to work on a wide range of interesting projects and to further knowledge in the use of mass timber in design Renumeration package ranging from $140,000.00 to $155,000.00, depending on experience, with a chance to gain performance-based bonuses Opportunity to join PTL's Employee Share Option Programme (ESOP), providing ownership in PTL and share in its success Opportunity to continue professional development, working closely with universities and research institutes Flexible working arrangements, balancing life and family commitments About us PTL | Structural & Fire are a team of highly skilled structural and fire engineers specializing in the design and construction of a wide range of buildings and bridges.
