Sales and Customer Relationship Champion We are seeking an experienced salesperson to take ownership of our company's sales function. You will manage incoming enquiries, build on existing customer relationships and actively pursue new business. Our customers in the Wellington, Kapiti, Manawatu and Taupo regions. You will also provide general administration cover while our Office Manager is on leave. This is a permanent part-time, office-based position in Kapiti. Key responsibilities Manage telephone, email and website sales enquiries. Build relationships with existing and prospective customers. Generate new business and identify further opportunities within existing business and services. Schedule quotes and coordinate them in a logical, efficient flow within the quoting region. Prepare quotations in consultation with owners and follow them through to completion. Attend and manage face-to-face sales with customers at Home Shows twice a year. Maintain an organised sales pipeline and follow up all opportunities. Negotiate and close sales within agreed guidelines. Develop a practical sales plan with management. Maintain accurate customer and sales records. Report on sales activity, results and opportunities. Support Office Manager and Roofing Managers with administrative functions across the business. About you Proven sales or business-development experience, preferably in a construction or trades environment. Experience generating new business and managing existing customers. Excellent and confident communication and sales by telephone and email. A strong record of following up quotations and closing sales. Good commercial awareness and negotiation skills. Excellent written and spoken English. Strong organisational, administrative and computer skills. The ability to work independently and take ownership of results.
