Our client is a well-established Auckland plumbing business founded in 2016. The team supports residential and commercial customers across Auckland, including Waiheke Island, with maintenance, emergency plumbing, gas fitting, drainage, guttering, roofing, renovations, hot water systems and project work. As the business continues to grow, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Certified Plumber to join the team. This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems and genuinely cares about leaving customers happy with the job done. You’ll be joining a close-knit team where good people are well looked after, quality work is recognised and rewarded, and there are opportunities to continue developing your skills. The Opportunity You’ll work across a varied portfolio of residential and commercial customers throughout Auckland. No two days will necessarily look the same. Your work could include general plumbing and reactive maintenance, gas fitting and drainage through to guttering, roofing, renovations, hot water systems and project work. You’ll have the autonomy to manage your jobs and work independently, while having the support of an experienced team around you. The team gets together once a week to stay connected, coordinate upcoming work and make sure everyone has the support they need. This is a full-time role offering a minimum of 40 hours per week, with the opportunity to work additional overtime when required. You’ll also participate in an on-call roster, helping the business maintain the responsive service its customers value. Key Responsibilities Carry out residential and commercial plumbing maintenance, repairs and installations. Diagnose plumbing faults, leaks and other issues and provide practical, effective solutions. Complete gasfitting and drainage work in line with your qualifications and registration. Undertake guttering and roofing work where required. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across commercial properties. Support renovations, hot water system installations and other project work. Participate in the on-call roster and attend call-outs when required. Communicate professionally with customers, property contacts and other trades. Maintain accurate job records and documentation. Maintain high standards of workmanship, health and safety and compliance. Attend weekly team meetings and contribute positively to the wider team. Take ownership of your work and deliver the quality and service customers have come to expect. To be successful in this role, you'll bring: Relevant New Zealand plumbing qualifications and registration. Gasfitting and/or drainlaying qualifications or experience will be highly regarded. Solid hands-on plumbing experience across maintenance, repairs and installations. Experience across residential and commercial plumbing environments would be advantageous. Strong fault-finding and practical problem-solving skills. A willingness to undertake guttering and roofing work when required. The confidence to work independently and manage your jobs effectively. Strong communication skills and a professional approach with customers. A commitment to quality workmanship and getting the job done right the first time. A positive, team-focused attitude. A full, clean New Zealand driver's licence. What's on Offer $35-$45 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications and registration.
