Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Engineer

Donaldson Mechanical – Tamahere, North Island We're seeking a motivated Engineer / Mechanic to join our team. Your time would be based in our fully equipped workshop in Tamahere, Hamilton. This role includes new fit-ups of forestry attachments, including assembly and installation of our Duxson attachments. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working autonomously, solving problems on the go, and being part of a supportive, safety-focused team. TOP WAGES FOR THE RIGHT PERSON Key responsibilities Diagnose, service, and repair heavy equipment Installations of new attachments ie felling heads, grapples, and harvesters Carry out scheduled maintenance and inspections Maintain detailed records and documentation Communicate with customers and the internal team to ensure timely and high-quality service Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental policies About you Proven experience working on heavy equipment – forestry, agriculture, construction, or similar Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostic skills Able to work independently and within a team Excellent communication and time management skills Valid driver's licence Forestry machinery experience (e.g. harvesters, forwarders, skidders), painting, and the ability to make hydraulic hoses is highly desirable Excellent hourly rate Opportunities for training and career progression Supportive team environment with a strong safety culture Work with industry-leading forestry and heavy machinery brands along with a great Duxson Donaldson team #J-18808-Ljbffr
