RobLawMax Recruitment is looking for a reliable, hard-working Stone Mason Assistant to join a skilled team delivering high-quality residential and commercial stonework throughout the Wellington region. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to develop their skills in a specialised trade. About the role As a Stone Mason Assistant, you'll work alongside experienced stonemasons, helping to deliver premium stone installations while learning valuable trade skills. Your day-to-day duties will include: Assisting with the installation of natural and engineered stone. Preparing materials, tools and work areas. Cutting, shaping and finishing stone products. Loading, unloading and transporting materials safely. Supporting site set-up and maintaining a clean, organised workspace. Working closely with experienced tradespeople on a variety of projects. Wall or floor tiling. Metal frame fabrication. Caulking and finishing. General construction or trade labouring. Experience using hand and power tools. What we're looking for Strong work ethic and a positive attitude. Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team. Physically fit and comfortable with manual work.
