Good Planet is looking for an experienced Attractions Manager to lead our Adventure Park & Attractions operations and play a key role in their continued development. Our Adventure Park & Attractions are growing, with new attractions and experiences planned for rollout over the next few years. We're looking for someone with strong attractions or adventure tourism experience who can run the operation to a high standard today while helping us develop what comes next. About Good Planet Good Planet is a family visitor destination in Auckland, bringing together attractions, activities, food, retail and seasonal experiences. We're continuing to develop our Adventure Park & Attractions offering as part of the wider destination, with further investment and new experiences planned over the coming years. The role You'll take responsibility for the day-to-day operation, safety, maintenance and standards of our Adventure Park & Attractions, while also playing an active role in their ongoing development. Key responsibilities include: Managing the safe and efficient operation of the Adventure Park & Attractions Leading, training and developing the attractions team Maintaining operating procedures, safety systems, inspections and daily checks Overseeing maintenance, servicing, equipment reliability and presentation Managing capacity, queues, guest flow and the overall attractions experience Maintaining high standards of customer service and operational readiness Identifying and implementing operational improvements Researching new attractions, equipment and visitor experiences Contributing operational expertise and ideas to future attraction development Supporting R&D, testing, setup, commissioning and launch of new attractions Helping take new attractions from concept through to safe, successful operation About you Your experience may come from a theme park, adventure tourism operation, zipline or ropes course, activity park, family attraction, tourism destination or similar operation. You'll understand what sits behind a successful attraction: robust safety systems, well-maintained equipment, capable staff, efficient operations and an experience that guests genuinely enjoy. You'll ideally bring: Strong attractions, adventure tourism or visitor-operations experience Practical knowledge of attraction safety and risk management Experience with maintenance, inspections, servicing and operational readiness Experience leading and managing operational teams Strong customer and tourism-experience standards An understanding of capacity, queues, throughput and operational efficiency Experience developing procedures, training and operating standards Practical problem-solving skills and sound operational judgement An interest in attraction development, emerging concepts and new visitor experiences The opportunity This is an opportunity to operate, improve and help develop a growing attractions portfolio. As new attractions are introduced over the coming years, you'll be involved in research, operational planning, R&D, setup, testing and launch — bringing an operator's perspective to how new experiences are designed and delivered. We're looking for someone who understands how great attractions work, takes pride in running them well and is excited by the opportunity to help shape the next stage of Good Planet's development.
