Turbo and Diesel Automotive Services Limited – Hamilton, North Island Turbo & Diesel Automotive is Hamilton's specialist diesel and turbo workshop — MTA certified, trained to Bosch, Delphi and Garrett standards, with 20+ years of experience and more than 10,000 vehicles behind us. We're growing and looking for an experienced Automotive Technician / Mechanic to join our Frankton workshop. You'll work across a wide range of vehicles including diesel, petrol, hybrid, 4WD, light and medium commercial and performance vehicles. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, enjoys diagnostics and wants to be part of a growing independent workshop. What you'll be doing Servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs across petrol, diesel, hybrid and commercial vehicles Diagnostic and fault-finding work using modern scan tools and equipment Engine, transmission, steering, suspension and brake repairs Timing belt and timing chain replacements Auto electrical and electronic fault diagnosis Cooling system, air conditioning and fuel system repairs Pre-Warrant of Fitness inspections and repair work Test driving vehicles to confirm faults and verify repairs Working efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship Supporting the workshop team to keep jobs moving Keeping the workshop safe, tidy and organisedFollowing NZ Health & Safety requirements and workshop procedures What we're looking for Recognised automotive trade qualification — NZ Certificate in Automotive Engineering or equivalent Experience as a qualified Automotive Technician / Mechanic Strong mechanical, diagnostic and fault-finding skills Experience working on petrol and diesel vehicles Confident using modern diagnostic equipment and scan tools Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship Reliable, organised and able to work independently A positive team attitude and willingness to support other technicians and apprentices Full New Zealand Driver Licence A current WOF Authority would be an advantage, but is not essential.
