We’re working with a busy, high-tech dealership workshop in Christchurch , and they’re on the hunt for a Diagnostic Technician . Not a general mechanic, not a tyre kicker — they’re after the go-to problem-solver. The one in the workshop everyone calls when the warning lights won’t go away. Sound like you? Read on! What You’ll Actually Be Doing: Diagnosing all those annoying faults no one else wants to deal with Using the latest factory scan tools and diagnostic gear Solving electrical and electronic gremlins like the wizard you are Staying up to speed with factory training and bulletins Being the calm, collected tech hero in a fast-moving team Job Reference: 35176 What We’re Looking For: NZ Level 4 Automotive Tech qualification (or similar) At least 5 years on the tools - ideally with solid dealership or diagnostic experience You're the one others turn to when the scan tool spits out a confusing code A sharp mind, a steady hand, and a clean driver’s licence What’s In It for You: Above market rates of $38 - $40 per hour plus overtime if you want it Full-time, permanent role – 40 hours plus No general mechanical repairs – this role is all diagnostics, all the time A modern workshop with all the fancy toys Ongoingtraining to keep you sharp A supportive, close-knit crew who actually get along Career progression if you want to climb the ladder And did we mention added employee benefits?
