Casual Electrical Engineering Tutor

Lifeskills Training and Education is a well-established private training organisation (previously called Skills Update);operating in NZ since 1991. We are seeking an experienced individual from the electrical engineering industry to join our teaching team as a casual relief tutor. Work may be in any of our Auckland Campuses - Henderson, Mangere or Papakura. Hours of work would mainly be evenings and weekends. You will be supporting learners to gain trade skills at both pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship level.Current registration is needed, as well as a passion for sharing your knowledge of the industry, and impeccable organisational skills to ensure that all the compliance and administrative functions of your job are completed to a high standard. We are looking for someone with: A minimum of 4 years practical industry experience as an electrician, with at least 1 year of experience at a supervisory or team leader level Trade qualification at level 4 as an electrican and current EWRB registration. Excellent presentation and communication skills Passion and energy for teaching and training others Unit Standard 4098, and the NZ or National Certificate in Adult Education and Training (level 4 or 5) (or be willing to complete these courses) A full Class 1 NZ Drivers licence Be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident or hold a current NZ work permit.
