About the Role | Mō tetūranga In this role, you’ll be: Processing building consent applications andassessing supporting documentation Carrying out building, plumbing and drainageinspections Making recommendations on Code ComplianceCertificates and related matters Investigating building compliance issues andsupporting appropriate enforcement action Providing clear, practical and impartial adviceto customers and stakeholders Maintaining accurate records to support qualityassurance and BCA accreditation. About You | Ko wai koe Our ideal candidate will likelyhave: A relevant technical qualification for buildingcontrol work, or be working toward one Working knowledge of the Building Act 2004,Building Code, Building Regulations and consent processes Building, construction, plumbing and drainage,or related industry knowledge The ability to read and interpret plans,specifications, legislation and standards Clear communication skills and confidenceexplaining technical matters in plain English Sound judgement, attention to detail, strongorganisation skills and a current full New Zealand driver licence.
