Construction Manager

Join a leading EPC contractor on a major renewable energy project in the Bay of Plenty. This temp‑to‑perm Construction Manager role offers hands‑on leadership responsibility on a significant utility‑scale solar farm — a key part of New Zealand’s renewable energy build‑out. What you will be doing: Provide onsite leadership, guiding construction teams and subcontractors to deliver quality outcomes safely and on schedule. Implement and maintain safety programs, including record keeping and compliance. Communicate effectively with subcontractors, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure performance, productivity, quality, and safety standards are met. Collaborate with Project Managers, senior construction leadership, design and site engineers to anticipate and address construction challenges. Support environmental compliance, including Construction Environment Management Plans (CEMP) and related requirements. Coordinate scheduling and lookahead planning for multiple project scopes. Develop and maintain productive stakeholder and client relationships. What you bring to the role: Previous experience on utility‑scale solar farm construction projects (ideally >100 MW). Minimum 5 years’ progressive experience in construction management or related leadership roles. Strong knowledge of solar farm construction methods, materials, and specifications. Ability to interpret project scopes, contracts, and drawings to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
