Registered Nurse – Te Puia Hospital, East Coast In this rural healthcare setting, you will play a crucial role in providing clinical expertise and ensuring the smooth operation of our facility. This role involves 32 hours per week on a 7-day roster, offering the chance to provide high-quality care across a diverse case mix, including medical, aged care, and emergency wards. Key responsibilities Performing comprehensive nursing assessments and delivering planned care to achieve identified outcomes. Administering treatments and medications safely within your scope of practice. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and facilitate necessary referrals. Ensuring all nursing practice is culturally safe and gives effect to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi. About you Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or equivalent) and current NZ Nursing Council Registration. At least one year of postgraduate experience (e.g Nurse Entry to Practice) or currently undertaking this training. Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills. The ability to work effectively in a small team and adapt to a non-structured, rural environment.
