We Solid Masonry Homes 2010 Limited are looking for skilled Bricklayers to be responsible for constructing brickwork for construction sites in Auckland, New Zealand. Number of positions for this job: 3 Hours per week: minimum of 30 hours a week is guaranteed, maximum of 40 hours per week Hourly rate: $32.00-40.00 Responsible for providing and maintaining own Brick/Block laying tools. Must have correct tools for the job Report to the Solid Masonry Foreman on a daily basis to receive instructions. All instructions issued by the Solid Masonry Foreman must be adhered to. Lay of bricks concrete blocks and other masonry units as per plans and specifications. Lay non-conventional blocks ie. Form Blocks as per plans and specifications. Use various tools including brick / block cutting machines to cut and shape bricks or blocks to accurate size. Place steel reinforcing and grout in cavities or cores to external and internal walls strictly inaccordance with plans and specifications or as directed by the Foreman. Waterproof masonry. Assemble erect and dismantle scaffolding rigging and hoisting equipment (to non-certifiablestage) Ensure the quality of the workmanship on each job is of the highest standard in order to exceedthe clients expectations. Assist with the removal of all rubbish and debris associated with Solid Masonry brick and blocklaying prior to leaving the site at the completion of the contract All onsite issues/problems are to be referred to the Solid Masonry Foreman in the first instancenot the Site Foreman. Job pre-requisites: New Zealand Certificate in Brick & Block Laying Level 4 related qualification, or proven experience as Bricklayer on construction site for at least 2 years is required Knowledge of materials methods and the tools involved in bricklaying and the construction of buildings Problem-solving ability Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
