You will play a pivotal role in assisting the Butchery Manager in the day-to-day operations of our Butchery department. You'll contribute to delivering a positive shopping experience for our customers while ensuring operational excellence in the Butchery section. Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with the Butchery Manager to oversee the Butchery department's operations, and customer service. Monitor Butchery inventory levels, assist with ordering, and ensure product availability and freshness. Manage Butchery department merchandising and ensure that Butchery displays are attractive and well-stocked. Handle customer inquiries and concerns regarding Butchery products in a professional and friendly manner. Food Safety, you will need to be able to follow our Food Safety plan You will need to complete all required paperwork and follow all of the procedures included in the plan About you: Butcher qualifications or relative experience within a butchery department. Previous experience in a supermarket role is preferred, but not essential. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high Butchery department standards. Ability to work in a fast-paced and customer-oriented environment. Basic computer skills. Physically fit and able to fulfil the requirements of the role. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
