Laser Electrical Greymouth - Greymouth, South Island To install, maintain, repair, inspect and test electrical wiring, equipment and appliance in compliance with statutory regulations and standards and ensuring that all quality standards and client deadlines are met. Key responsibilities Assemble, install and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Study and interpret wiring diagrams and floor plans. Test electrical work for safety. Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes. Ensure all work is carried out to electrical regulations and safety standards. Ensure all documentation relating to electrical work is completed on an accurate and timely basis. Lead by example, demonstrating visible and positive leadership to drive improved performance of Apprentices. Direct, develop and motivate your Apprentice through effective coaching and mentoring and providing learning opportunities. Address or report performance shortfalls of Apprentices early to facilitate improvement. About you Completed Apprenticeship and National Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Level 4) or a National Certificate in Electricity Supply (Level 4). New Zealand Electrical Registration and Practising Licence. A full and valid New Zealand driver's licence. Good math and physics skills. Good hand-eye coordination. Good working knowledge of current electrical standards and regulations. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and floor plans. Knowledge of safety procedures and first aid.
