Solicitor / Associate / Senior Associate – Property & Commercial Solicitor / Associate / Senior Associate – Property & Commercial Hawke’s Bay | Hastings, Havelock North, Napier or Waipawa Take the next step in your legal career in Hawke’s Bay Gifford Devine is looking for an experienced Property & Commercial lawyer to join our team in Hawke’s Bay. We are open to candidates at Solicitor, Associate or Senior Associate level , with the position and package shaped around the experience, capability and aspirations of the successful candidate. This is an opportunity to join an established and highly regarded practice, work directly with a diverse client base and take on meaningful responsibility within a supportive and experienced team. The opportunity You will work across a broad range of property and commercial matters, which may include: Commercial and residential property transactions Property development and subdivisions Commercial leasing Business sales and purchases Commercial contracts and structuring Financing and securities Trust and asset structuring Rural and agribusiness transactions General commercial and property advisory work There is plenty of scope to shape the role around your existing strengths and the areas you want to develop further. You’ll work closely with our partners and senior lawyers, while having the autonomy to manage your own matters and build strong, long-term relationships with clients. There is genuine opportunity to grow your own practice and profile within the firm and across Hawke’s Bay . About you You’ll be an experienced New Zealand lawyer with a strong grounding in property, commercial law or a combination of both. You may already be operating at Associate or Senior Associate level, or you may be a Solicitor or Senior Solicitor looking for greater responsibility and the next step in your career. You’ll ideally bring: Strong property and/or commercial legal experience Excellent technical and drafting skills A practical and commercially minded approach Confidence managing matters and client relationships Strong communication and interpersonal skills An interest in developing long-term client relationships A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to the wider firm Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who enjoys working with clients, takes ownership of their work and wants to be part of a strong and growing Hawke’s Bay firm.
