Machines R Us Limited is seeking a Woodworking Machinery Sales Consultant to join our team on a full-time basis at our Avondale Auckland location. This is an exciting opportunity to become a key part of our sales division, driving revenue growth and building strong client relationships within the woodworking machinery sector. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying customer needs, presenting solutions, and closing sales whilst maintaining the highest standards of customer service. This position is crucial to our continued expansion and success in the competitive machinery sales market. What you'll be doing Identifying and prospecting potential customers within the woodworking machinery industry through various channels including cold calling, networking, and referrals Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new clients to understand their machinery requirements and business objectives Presenting and demonstrating woodworking machinery products and solutions tailored to meet specific customer needs Preparing detailed quotations and proposals that clearly outline product specifications, pricing, and value propositions Negotiating contract terms and closing sales agreements to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets Providing product knowledge and technical support to customers throughout the sales process Collaborating with internal teams including delivery, installation, and customer service to ensure seamless customer experiences Maintaining accurate sales records and customer information in our CRM system Attending industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to expand market presence and generate new leads Preparing sales reports and analysing market trends to inform strategy and forecasting What we're looking for Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably within machinery, equipment, or industrial sales environments Strong knowledge of woodworking machinery, products, and industry practices, or a willingness to develop this expertise Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical specifications to non-technical audiences Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs and provide consultative solutions Proficiency in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications Strong negotiation skills and the ability to close deals whilst maintaining positive client relationships Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to meet clients as required Previous experience in the construction, manufacturing, or woodworking sectors would be advantageous What we offer At Machines R Us Limited, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our team members. competitive remuneration packages which may include a base salary and performance-based incentives comprehensive training to ensure you have the product knowledge and sales skills needed to succeed collaboration, innovation, and recognition of achievement flexibility where possible to meet individual circumstances career progression within our growing organisation, and access to industry events and professional development resources About us Machines R Us Limited is a leading provider of woodworking machinery and equipment solutions in Auckland and across New Zealand.
