The role We are building a new future as a standalone Ice Cream company, and transformation is at the heart of that. It is much more than a technology deployment: it will establish a unified global operating model, standardised processes and a modern technology landscape as we transition away from Unilever by mid-2027. As Commercial Transformation Lead – NZ, you will prepare the New Zealand business for the successful deployment of our new systems and ways of working across Customer Development and Go-To-Market processes. Acting as the critical link between global programme teams and local commercial stakeholders, you will lead business readiness, process adoption, deployment planning, testing, training, change and go-live activities. This is a once-in-a-generation transformation role focused on business outcomes, capability uplift and organisational adoption—not technology implementation alone. What you'll be responsible for Lead NZ business readiness across Customer Development and Go-To-Market, championing the Global Template, Global Standards and the “Ice Cream Way” while driving a fit-to-standard mindset. Coordinate end-to-end readiness across pricing, promotions, customer planning, Trade Promotion Management, reporting, order-to-cash, customer management and sales execution. Validate global designs against local commercial, legal, regulatory and customer requirements, consolidating stakeholder input and identifying where localisation is genuinely required. Champion customer, pricing, product and commercial master data readiness, including data quality, cleansing, validation, governance and clear business ownership. Lead local change and adoption plans, communications, training, stakeholder engagement, and super-user and change champion networks across impacted teams. Mobilise business SMEs for User Acceptance Testing, coordinate defect triage and issue resolution, and lead commercial cutover, go-live and hypercare readiness. Serve as the primary liaison between global deployment teams and local Customer Development, Sales, Commercial Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, Communications, Technology and Data stakeholders. Lead cutover activities to ensure no revenue loss across the system go live period. Managing the prioritisation of customers, EDI connection process and stock build. Run strong programme governance, maintaining readiness trackers, action plans, risk and dependency registers, decision logs, milestones and executive-ready reporting while proactively escalating and resolving issues. We're looking for someone who Has led large-scale business transformation, ERP deployment or change programmes, ideally within FMCG or consumer goods. Understands commercial and Customer Development processes, with experience in sales operations, pricing, trade promotion management, customer planning or commercial excellence. Brings strong programme leadership, change management, stakeholder influence, process improvement, risk management and executive communication skills. Can mobilise cross-functional teams through testing, deployment, cutover and adoption, balancing delivery discipline with practical problem solving. Thinks end-to-end, takes ownership for results and is comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving organisation. Values collaboration, clarity and low-ego ways of working across global and local teams. Ideally brings SAP Order-to-Cash, TPM implementation, customer master data, commercial operations leadership or Australia and New Zealand market experience.
